| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The QuietClean air purifier offers high efficiency air cleaning with permanent, washable filters, saving you money with expensive replacement filter costs**. The permanent filter helps remove up to 99% of airborne particles such as smoke, dust, pollen, pet dander and mold spores. Compared to ionic air purifiers, the filter from the HFD-120-Q captures 17 times more pollutants+. This superior cleaning performance is due primarily to the fact that our model uses a fan to effectively circulate the air throughout the room, forcing particles through a 3-step filtration system. With whisper quiet operation, the QuietClean air purifier circulates and filters the room air every 12 minutes.++ The permanent filter is easy to clean - simply rinse

Worked great...for about a year. August 31, 2010 The Vulture I really did appreciate this while it lasted. It was in my bedroom and served as a fan/white noise maker/air purifier all in one. I'd only turn it on while sleeping, but it lasted barely over a year before it started making a horrible sound. It sounds like there is a flap or rudder stuck in a fan blade or something. So, I'll be paying shipping to the manufacturer in TN, plus their $10 reshipping fee. Not what I expected from this price point and the frequency in which it was used.
Cigarette Smell and Dust Gone August 10, 2010 Misty Nutini (columbus, oh) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I orginally started looking for a air purifier after I moved into my apartment. My neighbors, that lived underneath me, smoked alot and the smell came up into my apartment and there would be a haze in the room when I would get home from work. I purchased this product over a year ago from Sears and it has worked great! I keep it running 24/7. It got rid of the haze and the smell in my 750sq ft apartment. I also noticed that I didn't have to clean the dust as often from my black entertainment stand and I didn't wake up congested in the mornings. I love this product and would highly recommended it!
Nice but annoying clicking sound July 23, 2010 S. Wallen (Dayton, OH) The purifier works pretty well. My bedroom doesn't smell like dogs any more :-) However, when I have it on the oscillator setting, it makes an annoying clicking sound as it goes back and forth. It is impossible to sleep with this click..click...click through the night, so I have to keep it stationary, which seems kind of like I paid for a function I can't use. However, it does look nice and sleek if you are concerned about appearance.
It sucks... July 20, 2010 como Not a real hepa filter, plenty of dust gets by. It stoped moving 2 months after I started using it. Not worth the money. Get a real hepa filter.
Air Purifier Really Works July 20, 2010 E. Hewgley This product has helped my allergies greatly. I feel like I can especially sleep better because I am able to breathe. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is quiet, oscillates and helps clean the air.
